/ About ChaseGood

The People
Behind the
Miles.

ChaseGood was built by people who have lived the final mile.

/ Our story

Giving, on the beat.

ChaseGood turns donations into dedicated songs that drop at the hardest miles of a race. Every gift becomes a track in an athlete's real playlist, tied to a real cause — making generosity as joyful and personal as a song you can't help but move to.

James
Chandler

/ Chapter one — Soldier

26.2 miles, behind the wire.

James is a U.S. Army veteran. In 2019, while deployed in Afghanistan, he ran the full Chicago Marathon — all 26.2 miles — from his base, so he wouldn't miss his annual run for the kids he serves.

His story was featured in Runner's World. The lesson he carried home wasn't about the distance. It was about the people who showed up, in their own way, from half a world away.

/ Chapter two — Counselor & advocate

The kids he runs for.

For more than fifteen years, James has been a camp counselor with Camp One Step, serving children affected by cancer across the Midwest.

He co-leads the Children's Oncology Services Washington, D.C. advocacy trip, where young survivors speak before Congress — and he has finished seven consecutive Chicago Marathons with Team One Step.

/ Chapter three — Healthcare entrepreneur

Built on transparency.

James co-founded Square 1 Healthcare on a simple premise: transparency and access to care should be the default, not the exception.

Those are the same values ChaseGood is built on — every dollar accounted for, every song delivered, every athlete in control of their own story.

/ James's giving philosophy

“When I have too much and I give to someone with too little, we both get closer to having what we need.”

/ Chapter — Builder

Generosity, made effortless.

Preston is a serial entrepreneur who has founded several successful companies.

He is a lifelong endurance athlete — running, biking, and swimming — and ChaseGood is the company he felt called to build: a way to turn that passion into giving back.

Like James, he lives in central Illinois, with his wife and four young daughters. As Co-Founder & CTO he leads ChaseGood's product and engineering — the giving rails, the playlist orchestration, and the race-day experience — with the conviction that technology should make generosity effortless.

/ Why ChaseGood

A soldier and a builder, on the same course.

A soldier who ran 26.2 miles in a combat zone for kids with cancer. An engineer who builds the moments that carry athletes through their hardest miles.

ChaseGood is what happens when those two instincts share a start line.
